methadone on delta airline to Dominican republic?

do i have to check it with my bags or can i just walk on with it, i have a doctors note? it is not supposed to leave my sight.

1. If its legal to posses,you can,as in legal in both countries.
2. I am pretty sure our immigrations will make you provide a doctors note. It's better to bring one on than not having one at all.
