Do they serve meals in delta airline planes?
Public Comments
- Yes, if the flight is more than 4 hours long.
- on the red eyes they do, but not local
- All airlines are cutting back. You are more likely to get something in first. The shorter the flight though, the less likely it is in any cabin. For just a 24 seat first class section (6 rows of 4), it takes almost 1-1/2 hours to serve a meal - it just can't be done safely on a shorter flight, because the flight attendants can't begin the meal service until the airplane is level at a cruising altitude, and need to be done around the time the airplane starts it's descent. That just does not leave a lot of time. A flight of about 3 hours seems to be the cutoff point between getting something vs. nothing but drinks and a bag of "munchies".
- They serve full meals on flights longer than 4 hours.
- On international flights they do. On domestic flights usually airlines do not in an effort to cut back on expenses. Depending on when you are flying, they may serve a meal.
