How soon do travel benefits kick in when you get a job at an airline like Delta or Continental?

Considering working as a ticket agent part time.

1. Every airline is different but Continental is very generous with is employees. I know that it starts right away for internal traveling meaning on Continental planes, and on other airlines it varies usually there is a 6 month waiting period on some, and none on others.
