Airline doesnt let me fly with my service animal?
Hi everyone! I came to argentina for 22 days to visit my family with my emotional support dog. When I made the reservation with aerolineas argentinas I mentioned I will be travelling with my dog in the cabin, they said it was fine. My flight was cancelled from miami to ezeiza and they told me i had to fly with delta which let me fly with my dog. I am now returning back to miami and aerolineas argentinas does not let me travel with my dog in the cabin, they say it has to go in the cargo hold. I told them I have my doctor's note and they still wont budge! telling me only if I am blind or deaf can i travel with my dog. Again not something they said to me when I made my reservation! I need help! What should i do

- I don't think most airlines outside the US recognize "Emotional support" as a service catagory. Ship the dog or find alternative travel
- I'm not aware of any Argintinean law that would require them to allow you to travel with your dog. You should buy either put the dog in the cargo hold or buy a ticket with an airline that allows pets.
- They do have the right to deny your service dog if it is only there for emotional support. I had my sons therapist say that a cat would be good for his emotional well being to get out of paying a deposit, if you have a nice doctor you can get a note saying anything. There rules are very straight forward: If you are blind or deaf then you can bring the dog with you. I would be really annoyed if someone had a dog in a restaurant and came to find out they were only there for emotional support. Put the dog in the cargo and fly home!
