Airline doesn't let me fly with my service animal?

Hi everyone! I came to argentina for 22 days to visit my family with my emotional support dog. When I made the reservation with aerolineas argentinas I mentioned I will be travelling with my dog in the cabin, they said it was fine. My flight was cancelled from miami to ezeiza and they told me i had to fly with delta which let me fly with my dog. I am now returning back to miami and aerolineas argentinas does not let me travel with my dog in the cabin, they say it has to go in the cargo hold. I told them I have my doctor's note and they still wont budge! telling me only if I am blind or deaf can i travel with my dog. Again not something they said to me when I made my reservation! I need help! What should i do? anyone works for an airline? any tips?

  1. Most airlines charge a fee to have a pet in the cabin. Did you pay such fee? Check your ticket and the airlines website to find something in writing. If you still must put your dog in the hold it is temperature controlled and safe. Good Luck
  2. I don't have the answer for you, but this sounds like discrimination. A designated service animal is not, to my knowledge, limited to blind or deaf people. If you made proper arrangements, paid fees, if applicable, then they should let you on. I would talk to the highest supervisor and suggest discrimination, not to mention you don't have a kennel, I assume? If nothing works, try to find another airline that will allow this. I'm so sorry, I wish i could offer a better suggestion.
