Emergency Flights....?

I have a friend with cancer .The airline Delta for one way is 1800 for 2 weeks advance reservation..Do they have any special things they do in these situations.I can provide his Doctors number.I would like to get there by next week sometime before August 4th..If any one knows some good airlines and prices please let me know.... I have been a customer before.... I need to get from Pisa or Florence Italy to Jacksonville,FL

1. Yes they do. Tell them you have a death emergency...they won't give you a break on the price but they will make seats available to you stat. They always hold a % in reserve. Call ASAP...good luck.
2. Perhaps it would do you good to call airlines and ask if they have any tickets available without reservation and at what a prices. You'll get direct answers and probably an easy booking. Where is your friend right now? The airlines are really busy this time of year, so it would be best to call airlines or maybe if you know anyone in the airline industry.
3. Most airline do mercy flights type thingy. Contact one and explain. If not in very immediate danger you won't get one. Try for a cancellation.
4. If it were an immediate family member who was terminally ill, you might get somewhere. But just about everyone has a friend with cancer.
