Do I need to go through customs when connecting in Munich?

I am traveling from Atlanta to Ankara, Turkey. My connection is in Munich and I only have 1 hour. I know I will be arriving in Terminal 1, Hall B (Delta) and departing from Terminal 2 (Turkish Air). WIll I need to go through passport control or customs? I believe my bags should be checked through to Ankara since all flights were booked through Delta.

1. No-- When you connect in Munich you will stay in the international transit part of the airport. Which means no passing through customs. You may have to go through another security check-point, but turkey is not part of the EU schengen zone, so you will pass through customs only when you arrive in Turkey. European customs can be confusing. If you were connnecting to France, you would pass through customs in Germany since France and Germany are part of the EU schengen treaty which has dropped border formalties.
