Delta Fares

I am flying non rev (Delta), can we use the online check in?

And print our boarding passes now? we are within 24 hours of our flight. I am hoping... will this be possible. I go to our itinerary and the option is available, but we are non rev (buddy pass) and I don't want to screw up the whole dang trip.... Thanks! I'd like to know like.. before I go... if we are non rev and checking in now, could that help us get on this flight before other non revs?

  1. No, I don't think you'll be able to check in, because you are not confirmed. When you check in, you will get a boarding pass and you will not get a boarding pass when YOU check in because you aren't confirmed. You'll get a pass to get through security. If the option is available, just try it. It can't hurt.
  2. Unfortunately you will have to see a ticket agent becuase they will have to process your buddy pass. Checking in early on Delta will NOT help you get ahead of any other non-rev. Delta's standby lists are based on the seniority of the employee. So if you have a buddy pass from a relatively new employee, then you'll be at the bottom of the buddy pass category. Just ask the ticket agent when you check in where you are at on the standby list. They are usually pretty good about telling you that stuff. Just beware though, somoene can list and bump you at the last minute! Good luck.
  3. What Tim said. Ask who you got the Buddy Pass from to see if they can check the loads on your flights to see if you will have a problem or not. Flying standby, you run the risk of not being able to catch your flights
