Immigration checks vs. connecting flights?

I'm leaving to Los Angeles next saturday (no direct flight). I'll have to stop in NYC (JFK) and take a domestic flight (both international and domestic flights are operated by DELTA). The time gap between the two flights is 85 minutes. DELTA assured me several times that I'll be able to get on the connecting flight on time, but the minimum connecting time is 105 minutes at JFK. Is there any way to pass the immigration checks in a faster way (i.e. some sort of a dedicated lane for international passengers on connecting flights) IOT be sure that I won't miss the domestic flight to Los Angeles (LAX)? Thanks a lot...
