Delta Fares

We're flying Jacksonville FL to Puerto Vallarta - change in Atlanta. Do we just check in once in JAX?

We're wondering if we have to do an International check in again in Atlanta after changing flights. It's all DELTA, so I think the bags will go through OK? Coming back, we think we have to do the customs thing in Atlanta and then re-check the bags for Atlanta to JAX, right?

1. per my son a flight attendant once your bags are checked in they are checked until your final destination . Coming back into the states usually they are checked @ Puerto Vallrta & that's it customs done no rechecking.
2. I hope not transfers in atlanta are horrilble enough as it is, plan your time wisely and get ready to run from one side of the airport to the other
3. Yeah, there may be a customs check here and back...but as far as the bags...they're safe, don't worry about them. It automaically is transfered just like a domestic flight.
