Delta Fares

delta vs united?

i'm looking to travel back home to brazil for christmas, i was checking out flight prices and there is a hugee price difference between delta flights and united airline flights! delta is 1006 and united (who i usually fly with) is 1706!! i'm a college student paying my own flight so obviously delta is looking like the better option... but why is it so much cheaper? should i be like.. afraid? haha

2. Delta has recently been out of bankruptcy and is slashing expenses in order to lessen expenses and lessen prices to increase customers. Nothing is wrong with Delta that you should be afraid off, service is great and they are completely safe.
3. Delta!!! they have tv's in back of your seat and since your flying in from another country all the movie channels are included for free!! plus mtv and all the regular cable channels
4. well, near as i can tell, united is probably higher because g.w. bush owns 52% of the company stock. anything associated w the bush's is gonna be high. just look at the u.s. economy and gas prices. direct correlation in my opinion.
5. I would take the Delta price, United suck. The price difference maybe a sale price. Instead of flying with a half full plane they will sell off seats cheap to fill them as it is better than flying with an empty seat.
