Will I be able to get any american express card?

Hey everyone, I have a 715 EXP and am thinking of applying for an AMEX card. I want to obtain an AMEX Blue card, but am not sure if I'll actually be approved. Should I apply for the Delta Gold Skymiles card instead? I don't want a charge card... at all. Thanks for your help.

1. Amex doesn't use FICO, I don't think, so there are no guarantees. In the past that score was certainly good enough, the reason I hesitate to say yes now is because a lot of banks are tightening up as a result of the credit crunch we've been hearing about on the news. And so it is possible that they have toughened up standards.
2. three months i would have said yes -- now until the dust settles i would not bet on anything!!!
