Where is a great place to Vacation in Mexico besides Cancun and Cozumel?

We just had to cancel our plans for Cancun because of Hurricane Dean. I only have two more days to reschedule with Delta. All the flights they have are overnight ones to Cancun. Is there another place in Mexico that we would enjoy equally? I like to shop he likes the water and the activites. Thanks

3. By far, the best place in Mexico is Ixtapa/Zihuatenajo. The airport is in Zihuat which is a good sized city. Ixtapa is the resort town over the mountain with the most beautiful beach ever. We have been going for 13 yrs now. You won't want to go back to Cancun after you see this area.

5. You can go to: Ixtapa - Lovely beaches- Discoteques- Shops Huatulco - Nice place to have a great view of the sea and the sky. Acapulco - All the fun, cheap and have a mix of all the last three. I hope have been helpful :D Have fun!!
