How does everyone feel about the lawyer suing Delta for ruining his vacation?
An attorney is suing Delta airlines for $1 million due to negligence and disrespect. I personally believe in a sue happy world we live in this should be commonplace and the airlines should be held responsible for their lack of customer service.

- I think its bull shit.
- I work for a law firm and really don't support him. I wish I could sue someone every time I get bad customer service. I'd be rich!
- Delta should ban him for life.
- I dont know all the facts, but I say go for it.....
- Lawyers like the Democrats "Always someone else's fault", enough said.
- I could see getting a refund for all the money he was out and maybe a few thousand for the poor service but the million dollars lawsuit is just another reason why some lawyers are a lower life form.
- Eh, i think its dumb. I mean it'll be an eye-opener for the Airlines but that Douchebag is ruining it for everyone else because now tickets are even more then before. That guy just needs to get over it and drop the suit then the airlines will be aware of this happening. But that guy is a dumb A$$ and if i ever see him ill beat the living crap out of him. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=An7hZw87dYeQYZJP2vqVALnsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080528131721AAl46X7
- Only if it can be proved that the airline was negligent. The airline can't help acts of God (weather) or FAA restrictions that may be imposed.
- It's really sad, but it doesn't surprise me. Frivolous suits are attorney specialties. Remember the attorney who was suing a dry cleaner for 67 million for a pair of pants? Ridiculous! Harvard Law School should be ashamed.
- I don't believe that "sue-happiness" shouldn't have anything to do with this. I think these airline jerks ought to finally be held accountable for failing to deliver contracted services and causing damages. Corporations get away with too much human abuse as it is. I'm glad someone is standing up to them. They should have never messed with a lawyer. The average joe may never stand a chance but at least the lawyers have the time and resources to stand up to corporations! Edit: Wow, people don't seem to know the facts. They stranded him and his entire family at the airport causing them to miss half of their vacation, forcing them to book another flight and lose a fortune in hotel costs, airfare, food costs, having to buy new clothing and supplies because they hijacked their luggage, and had the nerve to be abusive towards the family the whole time. He's not really going to get a million, it'll be much less, but he's making them take notice that they need to stop abusing people.
- If you have ever been left high and dry by Delta you will understand. It has happened to me on at least 3 occasions. The last time I spent 14 hours waiting on a 45 min flight and was not allowed to switch airlines. So I say Delta needs to provide Hotel rooms and other accommodations when fights are diverted/ canceled or changed. However, A Million Bucks Get Real!!
- you need to ask if the attorney was drunk? i've worked in an airport. i saw plenty of attorneys, who couldn't even walk straight, throwing their weight around cause they're attorneys. look at them the wrong way, and they're already crying law suit. just pathetic.
- I agree he should get his money back for the trip and get an apology. A million dollars is just stupid though. He's just trying a get rich quick scheme. I wish I could sue everyone who has given me bad customer service, or everytime I've had a bad vacation, or everytime someone was rude to me. Personally I hope he does not win. He doesn't deserve to be set up for life because of one bad vacation.
- I think it's absolutely ridiculous if the suit is due to delays and not injuries. I'm not familiar with the case, but if an attorney doesn't know that flights run late, can be canceled, may have unexpected mechanical problems, weather issues, on and on...........then how the heck did he ever graduate from college! Frivolous lawsuits such as this cost all of us, not just the defendant. Now I'm curious....what's he suing over?
- I hate frivolous lawsuits. They are eating away at our justice system like a disease. That said, I support anyone trying to hold the airline industry accountable for the pain and suffering it inflicts daily on thousands of passengers for usually no good reason. The air travel system is broken and if stupid lawsuits can force some changes, well that is good. With all the stupid lawsuits over B.S. injuries being successful, why not compensate the suffering of being falsely imprisoned on a grounded airplane in worse than Guantanamo conditions, having your property lost, being treated like a terrorist when you clearly are not one and losing valuable time and money because of someone else’s incompetence?
