Can I pledge Delta Sigma Theta?
Hey everyone. I currently attend a private school with ties to a DST chapter at a nearby public university. I transferred to my current school and next year I will be a senior. Earlier this year I expressed interest to some friends about pledging. During a dinner one night I asked a delta if pledgin took place in the Spring and homegirl flipped out on me and I was turned off by that. So here we are in the spring and a new group joined the line last week (I was not asked to pledge) and I'm wondering what I can do to pledge my senior year. All the deltas I know are graduating and I've never spoken to the new ones. I'm really involved in campus act and I have a lot of friends but for whatever reason they don't want me.. advice??

- Go for it. The only thing you will remember in college is the keg parties any way. The real world sucks.
- At this point, I would advise that you continue being involved on campus. I would also add that you attend all if not as many of my soror's events on campus. This would not only give you a chance for them to get to know you, but for you to get to know them. Aside from focusing on your grades, and continue performing community service, there is nothing else you can do at this point. There are plenty of my sorors that I personally know that did not make it on their 1st 2nd and even 3rd time. Do not let that deter you from your dream of becoming a member of DST. Remember there is ALWAYS grad chapter. Also unless have a personal relationship with one of my sorors, I would NEVER let them know your interests of pledging. *BTW we don't use the term "pledging" anymore* Instead just keep your ears and eyes open to when they will have/host events. By doing that, TRUST me they will know that you are interested in joining the organization. Good luck to you !
