Delta Fares

My cousin and I would like to join Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. but we don't know where to start. Advice?

My cousin and I have always aspired to be a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. but my undergraduate opportunity was missed due to an inactive chapter. I am now out of college (23) and working and I would still love to try to be apart of this organization. My current boss is a member of the chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. that I can join. I am not sure if I should express my interest to her as I didn't want to mix my aspiration with work. I go to the website and nothing seems to be current or active on the chapter's site. Should go ahead and ask my boss anyway? I don't want to disrespect her in any way. Can someone help me? 2. If you don't ask then how will you know? Strike up a simple yet non overbearing conversation. Ask what chapter she pledge or why she was interested in DST. Depending on how the conversation goes and how you feel ask her if she learns of any events DST will be hosting in the area if she would let you know. In the mean time continue to work on your community service, and continue to work hard! I would hope to think that she wouldn't bite your head off by asking a question. Please keep in mind that being DELTA doesn't equate to being a mean person.
