Any tips on pledging Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. Sorority?
I am a graduate of an HBCU and at the time did not pledge DST, but have been interested. I am mentally in a different place now where becoming part of Delta Sigma Theta is more significant than it was when I was in college. I am researching the Sorority and Alumane chapters in my area. Any advice on the best way to express my sincere interest?

- Wow. I find it interesting you put more importance of pledging after you've graduated. I found it to be the opposite. For me, it seemed no one really cares after you've graduated. Anyways, when you enroll in grad school, just be yourself. Go to their functions, be cordial and charasmatic. Really, shouldn't it just be about that? Who you are as a person and the accomplishments you've made? Good luck.
- Go to the Regional Website for your area to find the chapter in your service area. There should be an email there for the president or some other officer of the chapter. Ask them to alert you when there will be programs going on. Check and see if they have a website; they may post things on there. Now, I must tell you that Membership Intake isn't done in Alumnae as often as in Collegiate. It may be a few years before they decided to have a line. I just pledged my first Alumnae line for my chapter and it was the first line they had in 10 years! Also, attending RUSH is by invitation only, so you need to get to know the Deltas in your area so they can give you an invitation. If you make it to RUSH, everything else you need to know will be told to you when it's necessary. Hope that helps!
