Has anyone had trouble with the Delta Airline?
Tickets are expensive and the cheapest I found was Delta. I've had a couple of bad experiences with Delta in the past few years though.

- Yeah. They told us to book a connection that was impossible to make. They wanted us to make a plane from opposite ends of la guardia and it just could not work.
- Fly ANY airline enough times, and you will have a bad experience. You will also have satisfactory or great flights with them. Some people are very vocal about never, ever flying on a specific airline again - perhaps with reason, but I have never had such an awful time that I would exclude any airline. Many issues that arise are not within the airline's control - weather and mechanical issues being typical. You can't really blame the airline for those things, and weather would affect every airline at a particular airport anyway so it would not matter which carrier you were on. You can get rude ticket people and grumpy cabin crew anywhere, anytime - no large group of people, no matter how well trained, will always behave perfectly - especially in those cases where the ticket agent has been dealing with angry passengers all day because of, for example, weather issues. One of the main things that gets people upset is just lack of information, and poor communication from the airline personnel. Sitting on a plane for 2 hours waiting for a mechanic to fix a malfunctioning indicator light - and not ever hearing anything at all about the cause, the importance, the progress of the fix - makes everyone itchy, and makes some angry. Unfortunately, becoming angry does nothing at all to improve the situation. I think that what you get often depends on your expectations and your own attitude. Go with Delta - chances are that it will be an average flight.
- Delta is hit or miss. Sometimes their service is good, sometimes the flight attendants are rude. However many other airlines are like that as well. Employee morale is down at many of the legacy airlines such as Delta, American and United. There is nothing wrong with flying with them. I am assuming you checked out Southwest since they fly out of Columbus, OH.
