what i can do sued the delta airline?

ok i purchase an airplane ticket to go to Cairo and then the airline canceled my ticket ,because if the volcano ,now i lost my vacation days from work my brother wedding ,and about 2000$ worth of gift i bought for my family , and then the airline ,doesn't want give the money back they told me it gonna be 4 days until i will get the money ,it took them 3 week ,right now i have to wait untill next Monday to check when they gonna return my money ,so what i can do

1. it would take huge amounts of money to sue keep on their back about the money and forget the other stuff
2. They will send you the money. Just be patient.
