- Your tank is way too small! Also, i NEVER recommend the use of vacation feeders since they usually produce a lot of ammonia. Your two little guppies will be fine going without out food for 2-3 days. I wouldn't mess with salt at this point, your main focus should be trying to get them into something bigger! Was this a brand new tank on valentines day? If the fish don't die first, you will have to buy something bigger to put ll of the fry (if they live).
- dont put salt in a tank that small
- The tank is too small for guppies. It's barely suitable for a betta fish. I recommend upgrading to at least a 15g tank and adding two more females. Guppies are best kept in a ratio of three females to every one male anyways otherwise stress and aggression levels can and will rise. Vacation feeders aren't good, please don't use any. In a tiny container like that, all it'll do is make the water dirty. Small fish like guppies can survive without food for a week, so don't worry. Guppies do like a bit of salt in their water, but only if they're in large enough tanks where the salt can be diluted. Usually you should be adding one teaspoon of aquarium salt for every 5g your tank holds.
