Delta Air line ticket?

I purchase a airlines ticket from cheap tickets in dec 2009. i had to reschedule the trip because of work. the ticket cost $ 502.70. delta airlines has the ticket now, but i need to use it before May 15th 2010 to travel. Can any one make a suggestion? Thank you. Rex

Let me see if I have the facts right: (1) 12/2009: purchased air tickets from cheap tickets.com, (2)Original trip was cancelled due to circumstances beyond your control, (3) Ticket price of purchased ticket is 502.70, (4) Delta has the current ticket, but with the experation date of 5/15/2010? In the industry that I am in, we have fare quotes and rules that TA's are supposed to let the client know about in regard to their ticket(s). I suggest two (2) things: (A) call Delta, explain your situation, and ask if you could at the very minimum get a partial refund of your money. and (B) ask your TA/Trip Planner if you could see the rules in regard to your ticket. Make sure to attempt to get a printed copy of the rules.
