Flight attendant qualifications?

I have an interview for united airlines in a few days..I am 23 and when I was 20 I got a DUI, after that I got in trouble for driving on a suspended license,,Other than that I have no criminal history..I know it's bad to get a DUI, I was 20 and made a mistake but I know they will do a very extensive background check so is this going to keep me from getting the job?

  1. It depends. You might want to admit that you had gotten one at the interview. Express your concerns, and be honest with them. It will show that you want the job, and are looking for a second chance. That is my recommendation, and good luck.
  2. It all depends. When you went for the interview were you up front with it or did you not tell them it all really depends it happened 3 years ago but it'll probably make a warning flag for them but I dont know if it'll make a difference. But I know that once they accept you for flight attendant school which is a course you'll go through you won't be able to drink.
  3. always be honest n tell them the truth coz once u lie n they come to know .straight away u r out....by telling them the truth u stand a chance.......so juz go ahead n leave all ur fears aside..
  4. well dependss your airline of choice to apply, here in Philippine Airlines we do require q 20/20 visioon, clear complexion, can speak English and Tagalog (local/domestic flights) and an advantage per se, Chinese (mandarin) knows how to swim with basic first aid, height proportional to weight so if your 5'4" in height it musty be equal or equivalent to your height oh not forgetting, perfect and complete set of teeth, NO a BIG No NO for an IMPACTED TOOTH or TEETH company offers a dentist which i reccomend NOT to take that co its very expensive haha thats thr requirements and also you must have at lrast studied at least 2 years in college.
  5. Its going to hurt you. In the interview admit that you did it, admit that it was wrong, and say the changes and steps you've taken so that it wont happen again. It wont completely kill your chances but if theres someone with the same qualifications as you without the DUI and suspended license there going to take the person without the criminal record.
  6. You said you had no criminal records then, all should be fine as long you hang on the truth & be honest when you answere a question. You will get the job if you go in for your interview with a customer service type attitude. Don't forget to wear the truth & honest hats..
