When is the best time to purchase an airline ticket?
I am trying to purchase a ticket from RNO to CAK on Delta Airlines for late March. Over the past three days the air fare has gone up nearly $150.00. Is this simply because it is the weekend and the airline foresees a lot of people purchasing their tickets during the weekend? Does anyone have any idea if the fares will go down from where they are now at $416 per person? I know this is all purely going to be speculation considering airlines are constantly changing ticket prices but any input would be greatly appreciated. If it makes any difference the current booking code is in T class of service however I am unable to see the particular fare basis.

- Goto SixxPakTravel.com and its always sooner the better to book.
- You probably waited too long. The end of March is the begining and end of SPring break or Easter vacation. This is a busy time so air fares are high. Try Expedia - but I don't think you will get a bargain. Sometimes connecting flights with l or 2 stopovers are cheaper. Also If you have flexible days you could wait until one or two weekends before to see if they have any sales - but this is risky. Good Luck.
- try bing.com what u do is hit travel link and it will take you there where you fill in where u wanna go ans stuff. also try cheapoir.com they have low fee and taxes for. other places say they will be cheap but the taxes and fees run up really high. and buying early is half true because on bing prices go up and down with in 7 days. hope it helps.
