Redeeming American Airlines travel voucher for international travel?

I recently cancelled my business class reservation on an American Airlines flight due to last minute changes and I was given a $2700 travel voucher. A couple of questions: a) Can i purchase a international ticket using the voucher? b) Can I use it for purchasing any AA codeshare flights Eg: United/BA? c) Does it has to be American metal all the way or can include code-share flights?

1. As far as I know, it has to ONLY be on AA flights but no harm in trying.
2. When using a travel voucher, you must book through AA, either by phone or online. You can't go through a 3rd party like expedia or orbitz. the answer to question a would be you should be able to. B, would have to probably be no, since if you go to AA.com you won't find any united or BA flights. The key is you must book the flight directly through American and only flights that American offers.
