EASY 10 POINTS: Confused about the Northwest Airlines and Delta Airlines merger; help please?

Okay, according to the Delta and Northwest merger FAQ's, it states that if your itinerary says "Operated by Delta Air Lines," then you check in with Delta. That's what mine says. But when I checked my itinerary on nwa.com, it said "Note: Check in with Northwest." Who should I check in with?

  1. k, let me tell you whenever two companies merge together the customers are the beneficiaries, they are bound to compensate you in case of any lose you faced due to their merger, if they are going to do so, check it out here: http://flightsrusuk.com/
  2. I would still check in with Northwest Airlines. Their merger is not 100% complete yet, but will be soon. Your flight will be operated by Delta Airlines, in a Delta Airlines aircraft. BUT, you will still check in with Northwest because they are not entirely 1 yet. Good luck
  3. Well, post merger, the branding has not yet been done 100%. delta is operating Northwest right, BUT IT HAS NOT COMPLETELY CHANGED THEIR NAMING.THE flight will be operated by delta but YOU WILL CHECK IN BY NORTHWEST because they still operate thru the nw gates. ONCE THE MERGER IS COMPLETED the gates will be changed to delta airlines AND northwest airlines website will get closed and u will be directed to the Delta.com website.
  4. When you booked, the merger was most likely not completed, so Northwest still wanted you to check in with them. If the flight says, "Operated by Delta Airlines", check in with Delta, for they are flying the flight, with their aircraft.
