  1. The type of plane depends on the flight itself. Shorter flights usually use smaller plane with fewer conveniences. Longer flights, such as cross-country, will often use planes such as the one you described. I flew from Newark (outside of NYC) to Atlanta on Delta and we were not on a particulary large and roomy plane. It was a standard plane with 3 seats on each side of the aisle. It's not a very long flight, although it's probably a fairly full flight most days, so I'm betting they don't pull out the biggest and fanciest jets for that flight.
  2. Delta flies to a lot of destinations in Europe. As for service, I am sure their international service is better than the domestic. You can find out seat width and pitch by going to http://www.seatguru.com. Depending on what type of aircraft you fly in, it will determine if you have the personal TV on the back of every seat. I think Delta is upgrading the 767 aircraft so that all seats will have the personal TV. The 777 will have the personal TV. Since you flew with BA before, don't get your expectations up too high. Delta is average in terms of service. Airline is extremely safe to fly in. Once the merger with Northwest Airlines is complete, they will become the largest airline in the world.
  3. Delta are ok
