Delta Fares

What if i miss my flight?

Parents are arriving to JFK and scheduled time is 2.30pm and they need to catch a connecting flight that leaves at 3.25pm; does that give them enough time to go to Delta terminal 3 from terminal 1 at JFK and make it to their flight? and what does happen if they do miss their flight?

  1. No they will probably miss there flight you need a 4 hour gap, and they will be re-booked on a plane if someone dosent turn up on there ticket they can go. otherwise they will have to pay a fee to fly! hope this helps =)
  2. Short answer - you need to talk to the airline. It depends on if there's more than one airline, if they've checked bags, if they've already checked in for the connection if it's a different airline from the first one... lots of scenarios there.
  3. they will miss their flight for sure since 1h is not enough to clear off security and baggage claim and then go to check-in again especially because Kennedy Airport is huge so... you should have thought about that or at least pray that their connection flight is made with the same airline...
  4. in the system amadues or other system or the airline websites they give the connection as the airport rules , but about if they miss the flight (like shopping in the airport ir fall sleep lol )they are going to pay the (no show charge) and go with the next flight .
  5. JFK airport is the airport that I usually travel to and from. As we all know JFK is known for heavy delays sometimes, with that said the trend that I noticed at JFK is that if arriving flights are delayed so are a lot of departures and vice versa. I honestly wouldn't worry to much because connecting passengers get priority especially if there arriving flight was delayed, so don't worry.
