Can you make plane reservations on-line and cancel w/in 24 hrs w/o penalty?

1. Depends on the class of ticket you have purchased. Obviously 1st or business class have no penalty, and some airlines also have a 'premium economy' class which, depending on the airline has different cancellation fees.
2. question have you paid for the tickets yet? if no they dont worry about it
3. with most airlines you can make a reservation and with in 24 hours you can cancel it without paying a fee. you have to read the fine print before purchasing the ticket because if you happen to purchase some special priced ticket they may be strict on that rule. most people are unsure of this little clause and end up having to pay a fee. united airlines does have this 24hr no charge policy.
4. I'm not sure if it's 24hrs or until midnight the day you make the reservation. Call United & ask to be sure.
