Delta Fares

Scared First Time Traveler ?

So I plan to move up to New York in a couple weeks, to a friend’s house, and I’m taking a plane. I have decided to go with Delta because it is cheap and also the person paying for my ticket prefers them. But to be honest, I’m scared. I’m 17 and this is my first time flying by myself. And I don’t really have anyone to look to for advice. I’m also confused about my baggage, ill have my laptop bag, guitar (in guitar case), and 1 maybe 2 suitcases. Can I bring my laptop and my guitar on board? I would feel safer with them with me. And my flight also stops and I have to get on another plane, should I rush to the next gate? To be honest, I’m really scared. How does the whole schedule go when you’re traveling?

  1. Yes you can bring your lap top and guitar on board with you. Don't worry about it, you will have plenty of time and they have everything set for people who don't fly much where you can understand. I know it is scary to fly. I did it just once 27 years ago but I'm getting ready to go to Africa, a very long flight. We'll have a layover in London and I'm pretty nervous. I'm telling you not to be and I'm nervous my self. That's why I answered you Question because it's just like me. I did have to send a missionary home to Africa and I knew by asking the air line what was allowed. Call the air line and ask them about your concerns. They can and will be glad to help you with all your questions. They have an 800 #.
  2. I think the best piece of advice I could give you, is to look online for a terminal map of the airport your layover is. Study it a bit before you leave so you have a basic understanding of where the terminals are. When you get off your first plane, check the schedules for your next planes city and time, and head towards the correct terminal. If you have a lengthy layover, once you locate your terminal, wander around. Good luck
