Delta Fares

I have questions about Delta Sigma Theta Sorority inc.,? I am a member of mu phi epsilon international professional music fraternity inc., (harmonious gamma eta chapter) and I have had a very strong interest in the great sorority of Delta Sigma Theta ever since high school when our teachers gave the students a step show. I have teachers that are DST and also Q's . I just learned that I have family members who are apart of DST and Omega Psi Phi inc., I was also told that a rec letter could be written for me from one of my teachers. and an older established member of DST showed a very strong interest in me and told me that if i needed anything to call her (if that counts for anything) (i am also the 2005 talent hunt winner for the tau kappa kappa chapter of Omega Psi Phi inc.,) My question is : Will having family members apart of both great organizations aid me further in becoming a member even if I don't go to the same HBCU as they did?(legacy) How do i go about showing interest to the lovely ladies of DST? I don't want to kill my chance
