Paying on my American Express gold delta skymiles? I plan on using this card for everything and paying the bill when at the end of the month. I also transfered some credit card balances to my amex. I think if I send payments to amex everytime I use the card they will apply the monies to my transfered balance and not my monthly charges. So even though i send money several times amonth I will still have a large payment at the end of the month beacuse the money that ive been sending is being applied to the larger balance that im carrrying w/ the transfers. My solution unless someone knows a better one is to get the cash out each time i use the card and then send the lump sum at the end of the month to pay off the monthly staement

I want an American Express Delta Skymiles Credit Card. There are absolutely no accounts for collections, charge-offs or any other negatives accounts on my reports. The only issue I have is that my Equifax report shows eight inquiries within the past two years. The others show only llike three or four. I also don't have much revolving experience on my reports. I had one credit card in 2002 which I closed within six months in good standing. Would I have a problem getting approved for this card? Asking about Delta Sigma Theta Inc.? I'm a freshman in college right now and I am hoping to pledge for Delta Sigma Theta next semester when I am a sophomore. My problem is that the Deltas were suspended and inactive for quite some time. Luckily they will be reactivateded (not sure if that is the proper word choice) the fall semester of my sophomore year. However, I didn't see or meet any Deltas on my campus because they could not hold events. I saw a few of them at other fraternity/sorority events but wasn't sure how to approach them. The idea is to be discrete, so whenever there are events for DST, should I say hello and maybe later on express my interest? Hello I am interested in becoming a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. specifically the Fairfield County Alumnae Chapter, since I am originally from CT, but I cant find any contact information especially a website that I can view any future events. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I go about getting this information? Equally important, though I graduated from undergrad my GPA is low and I definitely want to express my interest when I am qualified. With that mentioned I am about to attend another university to obtain another degree and a HIGHER GPA. This new institution will be located in New York so my other question is should I wait till I have established a standing GPA in the school I will be attending next semester in NY, (therefore possibly trying to meet members of the alumnae chapter in New York), or finish school (but still attending events for the CT chapter) and just aim for the Fairfield County Alumnae chapter? Hopefully this all makes sense and I do appreciate the feedback whether positive or not.

How do I get an American Express Card, after ch. 7 bankruptcy? I f--cked up and had to file Ch. 7 and I had an American Express Card Blue for students, as we all know Ameircan Express is one of the harder cards to get even though Iwan's really bad at paying them late, since I had to include the card in my discharge, they have me in the system as a previous cancled account. I want one of their delta frequent flier cards that reward you with delta for every mile you spend, I wish I knew someone in their office I could pay to approve the application, but its automatically done online, any ideas how to get back in good standing? Is there anything else that I need to know before approaching a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc? I am currently in my third year at college. During my freshman year I was able to maintain a GPA of 3.4 while keeping leadership positions in clubs on campus. I also applied for the Resident Assistant position, and that summer it was granted to me. During my Sophomore year, (in fact the 3rd month) I lost my rock - My Grandmother. She was very ill, but her death took the ultimate toll on me. I lost my will to keep up with my school work and my GPA suffered. I took it upon myself to step away from the distractions of the over involvement in extracurriculars and focus on my academics. I am now in my 3rd year...and midterms have passed. So far I am excelling in all of my courses. I am sure that my GPA will improve. I am now easing my way back into my involvement in Campus activities, and programs. I have always been interested in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated... but it wasn't until my second year that I realized how important it was to do research. For the past year I have been trying to learn and remember as much as I can about the sorority and the chapter on campus. I know the members on campus (and they know me). I have been to an Informational and numerous programs, but I have not made an individual effort to express my interest one-on-one. My biggest fear is not knowing enough when approaching them (even though i've studied so much). I believe that anything worth having is worth working for. And I am willing to handle whatever is given to me as best as I can. I have also been passionate about community service for as long as i can remember (especially when it comes to helping our younger generation). I truly want to be able to better serve the community and promote academic achievement through the ties of this sorority. I have never been interested in any other. To sum up my point & Question. I would like to know if there is anything that an interest would need to know before approaching a member, other than the history of the org. and the chapter, and the founders, and the Greek Alphabet??? And based on my brief story does it seem like I have a chance? Or am I thinking waaayy to hard about it all, and I should just go for it?! I have studied and researched the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated information for about 2 years and I have my personal reasons and beliefs on why I chose this organization. I have obtain my bachelors degree with an above 3.0 GPA average. I am also an active member with the church and neighboring community out in Brooklyn, and have several other dedications I participate in my daily life. My question to you is how I can participate in any programs or events at the Alumni Chapter’s in NY. I’ve called the Chapter’s President every day and expressed my interest and sent several emails, but never got any feedback. I will never give up my pursuit. Can I pledge Delta Sigma Theta? Hey everyone. I currently attend a private school with ties to a DST chapter at a nearby public university. I transferred to my current school and next year I will be a senior. Earlier this year I expressed interest to some friends about pledging. During a dinner one night I asked a delta if pledgin took place in the Spring and homegirl flipped out on me and I was turned off by that. So here we are in the spring and a new group joined the line last week (I was not asked to pledge) and I'm wondering what I can do to pledge my senior year. Is American Express going out of business? Or are They just running scared? After being with AM EX for eons they declined 2 of my AM EX cards. One card has a $20,000 limit I have a balance of $972.00 which is not even due yet. It is a Costco Am ex and I was buying gas at Costco. Amount was $38.00. The other Card is a Delta AM EX.with a limit of $9000.00. I was at a pharmacy for a purchase of $155.00 and this one was declined also. The first time this Happened I called AM EX and the wait was 10 minutes so I did not hold. I thought nothing about has this type of thing, It has happened before because technical issues. The second time it happened. I did call and was transferred to account services. I also had to wait for seventeen minutes and forty five seconds. I was told I had 1 NEGATIVE on my Experian but not on the other 2 credit bureaus. so I then went on line to Experian. Now I have never been late with anyone including Am ex. I have over 70 open accounts and never late. When I look at the negative I find it's not even my account. It is from a payday loan Company that charges 199% per year. I have never been inside or even applied for any loan. I called Am ex back and waited for 27 more minutes and then they disconnected me. There was a call before this to find out where I should fax my dispute that I already made with Experian yesterday evening. I did not have to wait very long this time however The service rep was insistent that I should make a payment that really was not due to until the end of the month she said it would look better. I finally had to raise my voice to say no my accounting dept handles this. When I did call back after I sent my fax the Rep i then talked to next was very good. He even came back on the line after I was waiting for 8 min & 22 seconds to see if account services came on line. He also gave me a direct number. First time that happened. I then hung up and called directly. They then said call back on Monday. What if I was in another City and only took my Am ex. (Don't leave home without it).I would have been screwed. Son is very smart (2150 SAT w/one sitting), a multi sport athlete in high school---though not the team captain type---and a freshman at a good university. He reads about Delta Force and plays some video games, plays war with air guns and gillie suits etc. and I fear he can't possibly have any idea what he is getting into and I sure don't. His knowledgee of things military seems very boyish, but I wonder if that's how all 18 yr. olds are. How do I know if I should encourage or discourage my boy from entering a man's world that could be so far removed from his understanding and perhaps ability?My father was a v12 career navel officer but what my son is thinking of is very different. I have no idea how to advise him.
