How much would be the fee to change a flight schedule for Delta airlines fromthe Philippines to West Virginia? I have an american friend who came to the Philippines to meet his gf. Now he is broke and his gf treated him badly and he now wants to go back to US, but he has no more money.His flight is scheduled on May 31, but he wants to fly back now because he is broke but no money to have his flight change. I wanted to help him but I dont have money to support him. What can I do? And how much really it is to change flight sched? Help!

Help!! Delta changed my flight schedule by TWO DAYS!? We are flying to Belize for our honeymoon on Delta. Delta has recently changed their schedules eliminating our Wednesday flight home. They have graciously (cough, cough) offered to move our return flight to the Mon before or Fri after, which puts us in a bind as we have already paid for our NON-REFUNDABLE hotel stay through Wed morning, and do not have the money or to stay two days longer. They have also offered to refund our money, but now, less than a month out, all other flights are nearly double what we paid and we can't afford those. HOW DO I GET DELTA TO BUY US OTHER TIX TO GET HOME OR PAY FOR THE DAYS WE WILL MISS OUT ON OUR HOTEL OR THE DAYS WE WILL STAY LONGER?

Missing a flight with Delta being Delta's fault? Missing a flight with Delta being Delta's fault? Maybe NOT Delta's fault, but I'm scheduled on two Delta flights. Boise to Minneapolis, then Minneapolis to Indianapolis. (Boise to Indianapolis being the trip) Unfortunately, there's a whole 30 minutes between each flight. visit to Atlanta, Georgia, USA using two flights? We were able to fly direct from Edinburgh to Atlanta but Delta is now discontinuing this. Why is Northwest Airlines so eager to merge with Delta? I'm really upset because I like MSP - Minneapolis Airport and they've done an outstanding job keeping flights on schedule and accomodating customers like me in Minneapolis. - NEVER ONCE BEEN DELAYED. ! It's a well-run airport and manages its operations more smoothly than Atlanta-Hartfield. I am very unhappy that Minneapolis is losing its big hub, I'm very strongly opposed to the merge and think it's not fair to Northwest. Edit: neilinpd, it's unfair to Northwest employees that Northwest management can't appreciate how strong their airline can be without needing Delta. My argument is that Northwest spokespeople could do a better job representing the interests of Northwest as a whole. They are selling their own airline short.

Delta/NWA flight change - Stranded in Tokyo (maybe)? I am a bit confused as to what I should do about this. My vacation to Kyoto Japan was scheduled for August 15-23rd. My flight schedule was MIA (5:45AM) - ATL (8:00 AM), ATL (12 NOON) - NRT (1:30 PM). I was perfectly happy with the schedule but then they changed it without even alerting me and it's a good thing i check periodically. I wouldnt leave Atlanta until 2:30 in the afternoon then I would arrive at Tokyo Narita Airport at 5:00 pm. This is a big problem for me because 1) I will be sitting in Atlanta for 6 hours and 2) I arrive in Japan way too late since I need to travel to Kyoto and public transportation (as far as I know) in Japan closes at 8pm. Assuming I clear customs in 1 hour it would take me at LEAST 4 hours to get to Kyoto via the bullet train. I will be then stuck in Kyoto station. I could probably take a taxi to the hotel from there but it is very expensive. Is there any way I can complain to Delta that arriving in Japan that late would be problematic for not only me but probably everyone on the flight? Or at least so i'm not stuck in Atlanta for 6 hours. I think it is very unfair. They had also changed my plane from a Boeing 777 to a 747 so now I cant even use my laptop on a 14 hour flight. How Long To Get From Delta JFK Domestic to Delta JFK International Terminal? I just received an email that an International flight which was scheduled to leave at 7:20 pm was rescheudled to now leave at 4:20 pm...my flight from San Francisco arrives at 3:07 pm which does not leave me a heck of a lot of time to make it over to the International Terminal. My daughter flew from LAX to J.F.K., however, her plane had to circle for 45 minutes before landing, which caused her to miss her next flight to Rome. She was scheduled on Grecian Cruise and was suppose to get on the ship at Venice - they missed the ship because the mix-up in the flights and her luggage was never rerouted. She missed two stops of her cruise and was without luggage for the entire time. On the way back in Venice they found their luggage in the unclaimed luggage dept. I'm supposed to fly out tomorrow nite but thought about leaving tonite BUT Delta says it doesn't have StandBy? I'm supposed to take a Delta red-eye on Friday night. My schedule changed so I am now able to fly tonight (Thursday). I called up Delta this morning to see about changing my flight but they wanted to charge $363, holy cow!! What Happens If a Airline causes me to miss a Connecting Flight from Another Airline? I'm taking a trip in a few months and the Flight has one Connection in SFO (san fran, california). Airline Removes Flight From Web Site(not sold out??)? Flying on May 16 with Delta. Problem with flight times and time zones? I am going for a week long trip to Illinois and am confused about what time my planes leaves for my return trip. I bought the tickets in the EST time zone but there's a 1 hour difference between here and Illinois yet my Delta Airlines itinerary does not specify on my return flight whether the departure time is in EST or Central. Do I have the right to cancel and refund flights to New York? My brother and I bought flights to New York in February, departing in October. We specifically went with Delta air as they were direct flights and we made it clear to our travel agents that we did not want any stops. Today (June 20th) the travel agent phoned to tell us that our flight to New York is now leaving earlier than scheduled and there will be a 2 hour stop in Paris and that we will now be travelling for 13 hours instead of 7. Im obviously angry about this. I have tried to look at the terms and conditions and the only thing I see is that cancellations are only acceptable if something serious happens...i.e somebody dies. What determines if an airport is considered Regional or International? I am a Flight Attendant for Delta Airlines and recently worked on a GPT (Gulf-port/Biloxi MS) to ATL (Atlanta GA) flight and noticed that they were calling GPT an international airport when in fact it doesn't have any scheduled airline service to an international city outside of the US. They also consider PFN (Panama City FL) an international airport. Pensacola has a way bigger airport big enough to use 757's and we call it a regional airport. Whats up with that?

What is the best airline to fly on? I just got back from a trip across the country and I flew Delta. I now realize Delta sucks....BAD. All their employees are RUDE RUDE RUDE!! As an early christmas present I bought a round trip ticket for me and a buddy of mine to go skiing in Utah. Delta Air Lines, This letter is to complain about the quality of service (or lack thereof) my family recently received from your airline and in particular, from one of your customer service representatives by the names of Marina Velkojvic . On August 3rd my wife and infant daughter “ Meriam Sourial” arrived at John F. Kennedy airport scheduled to fly to Cairo direct on flight 84 to Cairo . Upon arrival at the airport, and after spending more than one hour in line to check in, plus another 30 minutes to be cleared by security and just prior to boarding, we learned that their flight was overbooked. Although my friend’s wife who did check in the same time my wife did , she got the chance to have a seat in the plane. Inexplicably, my wife and infant daughter were singled out by Marina Velkojvic and told by her that she could not board and that they could be booked on another flight to Cairo that day. Ms. Velkojvic suggested that my wife fly overnight via Air France which would have a layover in France for about 4 hours. My wife respectfully explained that this wasn’t a feasible option because she was traveling with an infant and that a direct flight (such as flight 84) would be best for her. At this point I was about to exit the parking garage when my wife called me and I immediately returned to the gate to see what else could be done. I personally spoke with Ms. Velkojvic and explained that waiting for 4 hours to catch a connecting flight in Paris with an infant child was just not an option we could accept. It was at this point that Ms. Velkojvic became unprofessional, rude and threatening. She raised her voice and clearly said in a condescending tone heard by everyone within 10 feet of us – “I can’t do anything more for you and I don’t have the time for you, decide now what you want or I’ll call the cops”. This statement was completely and utterly shocking. I must be honest when I say that I had no other feeling aside from complete astonishment overcoming my entire being at this point. I could not (and still do not) understand how a trained reservation agent could expect a woman with an infant child to accept a layover of 4 hours in a foreign country. Does this seem rational? Where exactly is the common sense in this request? Couldn’t she have asked a man traveling alone to perhaps accept the layover connection? Realizing that I was dealing with a completely inept and emotionless person, I asked Ms. Velkojvic where I could retrieve my luggage. She responded heartlessly with “look for it downstairs”. As I began to walk away I asked Ms. Velkojvic how I could secure a refund and she handed me a piece of paper with your 1-800-221-1212 number on it. I also asked for my ticket to be returned and she refused to give that to me. At that point, I asked for her name and ID and informed her that I would be filing a formal complaint with the airline and she said that they’re not allowed to give their name to anyone. I began to walk away when, several (not one or two, but close to six people) came up to me and provided me with her name. Needless to say, your customers are more caring then your staff. I called the number provided by Ms. Velkojvic as I waited to retrieve my luggage when the customer service representative on the phone explained that the customer services counter could provide me with a voucher for the refund. At 2:00 am and nearly 6 hours after my wife should have left, I spoke to Sheyla Cacao about my refund. After explaining my problem to her several times Ms. Cacao gave me a voucher for $954.10 instead of $1,020.00. I asked Ms. Cacao to explain this (since my wife’s ticket was $815 and my daughter’s was $205) . Furthermore, I was told that my luggage was not there and that they’d need to give me a luggage claim ticket (JFKD52630) so that it could be delivered to me within 24 hours and until now I didn’t get my all baggage. I left terminal 3 at nearly 4:00 am in the morning having to pay parking fees of $70. Needless to say, I was quite frustrated and remain quite angry about the entire experience. I expected a much higher level of service from your airline, and I am truly quite disappointed. Airlines are, by virtue of the business they’re in, an extension of the hospitality industry. Planes (irrespective of the carrier) are a dime a dozen and it’s the customer service that differentiates the carriers. Because I don’t wish this experience to happen to any of my loved ones, I will be informing my friends and family about this incident. The experience was difficult and frustrating,

Even after leaving JFK minutes before Air India, how come Delta reaches BOM Hours after Air India does? i've noticed that Air India leaves like hours after Delta leaves JFK(some days becuz of delays..otherwise it's more like 5 mins or so)...but even after leaving after Delta, Air India reaches bombay like an hour b4 delta does.. DELTA(DL16)!! When am I going to know my flight's gate numbers? I bought plane tickets on Travelocity for Delta airlines. My departure is scheduled on August 15th and when look at my itinerary on Delta I only see the terminal number but for the gate number I see N/A. Does anyone know anything about? Or do I find out the gate number about a day or two before the trip?

Do I have enough time for my international connection? I'm flying San Jose, Costa Rica-LAX on Delta, with a stop in Atlanta. Originally I had a very comfortable schedule but it was changed without my consent (that happens to me cause I always buy non-refundable). Need the return flight of round trip ticket only? A few months ago, I purchased three Delta round trip tickets at $300 a piece. One for myself and 2 for my children. Since then, their Grandma wanted to fly them out to her house for a bit, then fly them on to our final destination arriving on the originally scheduled date. I called Delta to see how much it would be to change the departing airport for my children's tickets. They quoted me $500 a piece!! I purchased Air Tran tickets at $100 a piece and thought I would only use the return portion of the round trip tickets. I later found out I needed to arrive at our destination a couple days early. I called Delta to see about changing MY flight to a different day-- $400! I ended up being able to purchase a flight using miles with another airline. Then I received a paper receipt from Delta about my three tickets and I notice it says something like failure to fly any leg will cancel the rest of the reservation! I had been counting on using the return flights! I called Delta again, and they were as rude as could be and told me it would be $200 a piece to change them to one way tickets!! (personally, I do not understand this practice-- I have already paid for the seats, and they are going to charge ME for the honor of reselling them and making more money?). What recourse do I have here? I will actually be at the destination airport on the day the original Delta tickets would have put us there. Can I check-in online before the flight then visit the Delta counter at the destination airport and tell them there was some kind of mistake, that I actually was on that flight and thereby save my return flights? I am desperate not to lose any more money on this Delta fiasco (btw, I will never fly them again due to their horrendous customer service). Thanks to anyone with any insight into how to get around this limitation.

ATA Airlines- New Schedule Released? I'm looking at flying from either Indy or Louisville on ATA in mid-May and they still haven't released the new flights past May 9. Anyone know when they release the new schedule? I've looked on their website; I've called them directly (got a generic "at the end of the month" answer). I have a puppy dilemma between two breeders, need professional advice ASAP? I was buying a family puppy. I was writing an article on puppies and cats being bred as designer pets. I eventually started researching deeper and during my inquiries to breeders found two pups I really adored. I was talking with both breeders seeing contracts, seeing if they are reputable, etc... They were both nice and respectable. I was going to go with the male puppy and went as far to pay a holding deposit on him. The breeder removed him from her website and is getting him ready and even sent me videos. I just did the holding not even several hours ago. In comes the other breeder with the black pup. She scheduled a flight, and everything without me paying or confirming anything. She knew my name and telephone based off of our discussions. She scheduled the flight and said since its so soon she will have the pup sent via COD through Delta. She gave me the flight numbers and everything for the pup. I called Delta immediately and low and behold it is real, very real. I am so angry, and upset that this lady paid for the ticket and everything for this puppy. She was really nice, but this is absurd. Now I have a $100 holding on the white pup, the black pup is being flown to me. I am just speechless at the lack of communication that the one breeder has. Now there is some poor 8 week old pup in the mix going to be flown across the country mind you and then what? And then what... I am just disgusted. My husband said he would take both find the one we don't want a home, but he said that he is now questioning the legitimacy and health of the black pup because she could be ill and get the white pup ill. EASY 10 POINTS: Where to check in? I'm scheduled for a flight internationally later this month. It's on Northwest, however Northwest and Delta are currently in the process of being merged. I'm a little confused on where to check in. I'll be flying to Tokyo, then make a connection flight. My flight itinerary for the first flight to Tokyo, from Northwest, states OPERATED BY DELTA AIRLINES. When I checked my itinerary online, it said NOTE: CHECK IN WITH NORTHWEST. However, the FAQs on the merger state that if the flight is an OPERATED BY DELTA, check in with Delta. This is completely different from my online itinerary, which says Check in with Northwest. Also, when I checked my aircraft from the first flight to Tokyo was (Boeing 777), Northwest didn't carry B777's. I went on Delta, and Delta flies B777's. So, where do I check in with? And if it's either one, will they both carry the same information? Because I don't want to waste half an hour checking in when I went to the wrong airline!

Okay, so here's my plan: Right now, I am a sophomore in high school. So: Finish high school and attend an aeronautical school of some sort or get at least a bachelors. After graduating, move to where the airlines headquarters are (Southwest, Alaska, or Delta are the ones in which I'm most interested) and become a flight instructor to build hours. THEN: While being a flight instructor (felxible schedule), I'll be a flight attendant for the airline I want to fly, and build my kudos in the business (flexible schedule as well). Good idea? Or no? (I have a 4.7 GPA so grades definitely are not going to be an issue)

i want to report a complaint? I have a compliant about Yahoo Travel. I was scheduled to fly out from LGA NY July 1st at 7:30pm Delta. I confirmed the flight earlier that day to check status everything was fine as of 10am. How ever they would not let me check in. I reached the airport at 6:15 only to find out there my flight had been canceled earlier that afternoon due to the weather. I received no call or email alerting me of this. So I made a trip to the airport for nothing the earliest flight would leave the next day at 6am connecting to Atlanta and then connecting in Jax at 10:30am the only direct flight was at 4pm. I believe this was un professional and unacceptable when I called your customer service after being on hold for about 30min finally I got some one that had no answers and only said I'm sorry. I'm very upset with the service. I'm a frequent user of yahoo travel and this has made me think twice about using your sight. This is unacceptable and even though Yahoo Travel did not cancel the flight I believe at least a call or email should had been sent when the airline contacted them.I'm not a happy customer and I hope you can remindy this occasion.

Changing a flight to another date? I am scheduled to fly out of an area on the last day of feb. What do I do if I want to change the flight for a later date? Will it cost me more or not I am going through Delta I am flying back to Switzerland

Scared First Time Traveler ? So I plan to move up to New York in a couple weeks, to a friend’s house, and I’m taking a plane. I have decided to go with Delta because it is cheap and also the person paying for my ticket prefers them. But to be honest, I’m scared. I’m 17 and this is my first time flying by myself. And I don’t really have anyone to look to for advice. I’m also confused about my baggage, ill have my laptop bag, guitar (in guitar case), and 1 maybe 2 suitcases. Can I bring my laptop and my guitar on board? I would feel safer with them with me. And my flight also stops and I have to get on another plane, should I rush to the next gate? To be honest, I’m really scared. How does the whole schedule go when you’re traveling?

Does anyone know which staffing agencies you need to apply if you wanted to get a job at the pdx airport? Usually there are a few staffing agencies that hire for airports. In Atlanta, GA it is Delta Staffing that does most of the hiring for the airport. What about Portland, OR? Does anyone know which staffing agencies do the hiring around the airport?
